Aquaculture is a rightfully contentious issue in BC, with various concerns regarding pollution, sea lice and viral infections. However, fish farming also represents the most efficient method to feed our growing global population as well as representing an important employment sector in this area. I am passionate about finding solutions to balance our needs for food with protecting our natural environments. I believe we can achieve this through the development of carefully designed engineering solutions to minimise environmental impacts, while maintaining food and job securities.
